Just Blueberries...

Blueberries! yes I love this fruit so much that I'm going to die hahaha :p 
Now, I want to share the other side of this fruit.
When talking about blueberries means we are talking about healthy foods (Umm, I love healthy foods)
Maybe some of you only know this fruit as sweet, small, and pretty fruit.
But do you know there are so many benefits in Blueberries?! sounds interesting, right?
Wet Blueberries
Here I'll tell you some benefits from blueberries :)
  1. The highest antioxidant capacity of all fresh fruit Blueberries, being very rich in anti oxidants like Anthocyanin, vitamin C, B complex, vitamin E, vitamin A, copper (a very effective immune builder and anti-bacterial), selenium, zinc, iron (promotes immunity by raising haemoglobin and oxygen concentration in blood) etc. Boost up your immune system and prevent infections. 
  2. Neutralizes free radicals which can affect disease and aging in the body Blueberries bring you the brightest ray of hope, for they are laden with anti oxidants and rank number 1 in the world of anti oxidants.
  3. Aid in reducing Belly Fat (I know you are very surprise when read this part hihi)
  4. Helps promote urinary tract health Here, Blueberries can be surprisingly beneficial. It has a compound formed of big polymer like heavy molecules which inhibits the growth of such bacteria. It also has some anti biotic properties which adds to this effect. These heavy and big molecules almost wash-off these bacteria along the tract, thereby preventing the infection.
  5. Brain Health It is hard to believe that these berries can also cure serious problems like Alzheimer’s disease to a great extent. They even heal damaged brain cells and neuron tissues and keep your memory sharp for a long-long time. (That's why I don't stop eating this fruit hehe)

You also needn't spend a lot on medicines, neither are there any side effects. Remember, the deeper the color of the blueberries, the more they are rich in anti oxidants and other medicinal values :)

Now, how to choose a good Blueberries?
You have to choose blueberries that are firm and have a lively, uniform hue colored with a whitish bloom. Shake the container, noticing whether the berries have the tendency to move freely; if they do not, this may indicate that they are soft and damaged or moldy. Avoid berries that appear dull in color or are soft and watery in texture (they aren't pretty anymore hehe). Remember! They should be free from moisture since the presence of water will cause the berries to decay. When purchasing frozen berries, shake the bag gently to ensure that the berries move freely and are not clumped together, which may suggest that they have been thawed and refrozen.

In Indonesia, especially in Jakarta, you can find Blueberries easily in some big market or food market. But, if you stay in other city, which is very difficult to buy these (like in my hometown, Palembang) you can consume another food which contains blueberries in it, like blueberry yoghurt, juice, blueberry jam and etc.
